Playing with toys is where I first learned to manipulate reality. It’s the first tool we receive from our parents. A child’s interaction with colors and symbols is key to their development of practical intelligence. This use of information could make or break us, entertain or inspire us. After making the piece I googled, “stages of black consciousness”, where I came across the “Black Consciousness Scale adapted from Jake Milliones' scale found in the journal article "Construction of a Black Consciousness Measure”.

This concept I will continue to explore in future work.
